About the Artist
KATHLEEN “LEENY” ESPOSITO
Until August of 2015, the only contact Kathleen “Leeny” Esposito had with a paintbrush was in grade-school art class. Then, she attended a wine/paint night at our local country club. While the objective of the class was modest – painting a bouquet of flowers – the result was anything but: it uncovered a wide range of creative personalities that apparently have been pent up inside Leeny for decades!
Since dipping her artistic toe in the water, Leeny has produced a steady stream of unique, original paintings using a wide variety of media – from cut copper to corrugated cardboard, fire-glass stones, foils, and resin – to create diverse textures that can been seen through the glass, auto and other paints she uses. In stark contrast to her work as a uber- organized, “fine print” attorney helping finance massive renewable energy projects for a large bank, Leeny’s multiple artistic personalities continue to launch an evolving variety of creative themes, ranging from abstract splashes of color and sparkle to amazing interpretations of geodes, guitars, mountains, flowers, and saguaros.
These fascinating, one-of-kind pieces are now available for purchase online and can also be viewed in-person by appointment!
